A Journalist Asked a Former Monsanto VP (and Current FDA Food Safety Czar) About a Conflict of Interest..His Answer Shows What Kind of People We’re Dealing With

When browsing the newswire for mainstream media stories about genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and foods, a familiar pattern emerges: there are many important facts that are always left off the table, giving readers and incomplete picture of what’s really happening.

Case in point: the fact that current FDA JD Deputy Commissioner for Foods Michael Taylor, aka the current ‘FDA Food Czar’ (his official title doesn’t tell the whole story), served as the Vice President for Public Policy for Monsanto from 1998 to 2001 is never mentioned.

It’s just one of countless conflicts of interest between Monsanto and government agencies over the years.

Oh, and one other thing: Taylor also happened to be the FDA Commissioner for Policy from 1991-1994, completing the “revolving door” scenario that eventually gave us Monsanto’s infamous artificial bovine growth hormones in milk.

Mainstream sources continue to ignore this and similar stories, but one journalist found a way to contact Taylor for the groundbreaking documentary ‘The World According to Monsanto.’

Below is her exchange with the longtime Monsanto Man (who’s now in charge of protecting your health).

She asks him whether there’s a conflict of interest, and his response, well, let’s just say it shows you kind of people we’re dealing with here.

Watch the video from the beginning to see the background on revolving doors and Monsanto’s influence in the U.S. government. You can see the exchange between Food Czar Michael Taylor and the journalist starting at the 1:22 mark below:
