The mainstream media seems to be pushing the idea that the people in the United States are divided into two groups – people who support the use of vaccines 100% and people who are 100% against them (“cleverly” named anti-vaxxers by the opposition). In reality, a very small percentage of people belong to either group with the majority right in the middle of the argument: many would love to have vaccines that are safe, but they also want to be sure that they are necessary, especially considering the well-documented risks. The media’s agenda of creating a ‘you are either with us or against us’ mentality continues to divide people, pitting us against each other when we should be carefully considering the subject fully.
There are many people who are very much pro-vaccine but can no longer stay quiet about their possible dangers. On October 23-25th these activists with the supporters of the issue will rally at the CDC Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
Here are just a few concerns that these people have:
Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System exists for a reason: The CDC states that “like any medication, vaccines can cause side effects.” Because of these side effects, the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) has paid over $3 billion to those who have been injured by vaccinations since the 1988, which the U.S. Department of Human Resources freely admits on its website.
Although rare, there have been 1,172 reported vaccine-related deaths.
Mercury is still in many vaccines: Over the years as more information have been discovered about the toxicity of mercury, it has been removed from most vaccines, but not all. Thimerosal is about 50% mercury, according the FDA, and is still in one-third of all flu vaccines and two childhood vaccines — one DTaP and one DTaP-Hib.
Children are receiving more vaccines each year: In 1954 the recommended five vaccines for children, in 2015 children are receiving 56 doses of 14 different vaccines by the age of 18 (36 doses of 10 different vaccines before the child turns 6 years old) according to the CDC’s Immunizations Schedule. The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 was created in order to bring awareness that vaccines can cause injuries. The act made it a legal requirement for health providers to explain the risk of vaccines to the parents so that they can make an informed decision. (The act that was probably forgotten when California’s Governor Jerry Brown signed the S277 bill).
Documents potentially linking vaccines to Autism purposefully omitted?: On July 29, 2015 U.S. Representative from Florida Bill Posey spoke to the House of Representatives asking for an official investigation into the documents that were destroyed, literally thrown into a garbage can, which could have linked autism to mumps, measles, or rubella vaccines. “I believe we intentionally withheld controversial findings,” stated Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist at the CDC.
Potential link between cancer, the SV40 Virus and the Polio vaccine: In 2007 any Internet user could view an official CDC page on possible link between Simian Virus 40 (SV40) and the polio vaccine. The SV40 virus has been found in many cancer patients. It has also been found in the polio vaccines in 1960s. The virus was removed from the vaccine soon after and CDC stated that “research studies were conflicting and more studies [were] needed.”
They have estimated that between 1955 and 1963 between 10 and 30 million Americans could have received the polio vaccine contaminated with SV40.
“Some research suggests that receipt of SV40-contaminated polio vaccine may increase risk of cancer,” stated CDC. A 1999 study concluded that “data suggests that there may be an increased incidence of certain cancers among the 98 million persons exposed to contaminated polio vaccine in the U.S.; further investigations are clearly justified.”
What distresses many even further is that the CDC have removed this report from its site, and even the cached-version of the page has been deleted from Google search. It can now only be found on independent sites who record every page on the internet in an archive.
