Fourteen-Year Old GMO Labeling Activist Takes Down “Shark Tank” Bully Kevin O’Leary (with Video)

Rachel Parent, a young GMO Freedom activist who has been speaking out against the harmful effects of GMOs for 2 years, appeared on CBC News in Canada and was seemingly thrown to the wolves when she was forced to debate business tycoon Kevin O’Leary about genetically modified foods (or GMOs, for genetically modified organisms).

Despite the seemingly unfair setup of the debate, many people came away floored by the incredible performance of the young activist, who has been speaking out on GMOs since she was 12 years old.

Parent, seen in the video below, showed poise beyond her years in her debate with O’Leary, who was condescending and gave off a dismissive vibe of her throughout the entire debate.

So how does a now-18-year-old (then 14-year-old) beat a seasoned business leader in a debate on national TV?

Aside from her incredible skills and grace under pressure, it’s worth noting that she has truth on her side.

The GMO debate is one that can be easily won by anyone who is familiar with the facts, as Parent demonstrates so well in the video below.
