Flu Vaccine Leaves Las Vegas Man Unable to Walk, Talk, See or Even Breathe

Nevada resident Shane Morgan was paralyzed by the flu shot for several days.

The flu vaccine is said to be essential by many pharmacies and doctors’ offices, but millions of people remain oblivious to the risks of the shot, which contains several potentially harmful and even carcinogenic chemicals.

Unfortunately for one Las Vegas man, he found out the hard way after getting a flu shot that left him with a debilitating condition; one that critics say happens far too often.

“My eyes wouldn’t focus on stuff,” Las Vegas resident Shane Morgan said to FOX5 Vegas. In the blink of an eye, he went from a healthy man to being placed on a ventilator, winding up in a medically induced coma for five days.

“I thought it was my inner ears sickness that I had. I got up to use the bathroom and I realized I couldn’t walk,” Morgan said. “My legs were like rubber. My hands were totally numb.”

Morgan spent 23 days in a hospital following the flu shot, suffering from a condition known as Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which is said to be viral in nature.

Also known as GBS, the syndrome is a “rare but serious” disorder in which the immune system attacks healthy nerve cells in the peripheral nervous system causing weakness, numbness and tingling while potentially even leading to paralysis.

Several weeks after receiving the flu shot, Morgan was still in a wheelchair according to FOX 5, eager to start the year’s worth of physical therapy ahead of him.

The Morgan family’s ordeal began on November 2, 2018 when Shane and his wife Monique both got their flu shots. Morgan first felt like he’d come down with a bad cold, but then things took a turn for the worse.

“The pain (was) excruciating,” he said. “It’s just dumb luck I have an immune system that does not like what’s in that vaccine.”

Morgan was then diagnosed with GBS, which he says left him paralyzed and blinded, nearly costing him his life.

According to the FOX 5 report, GBS is said to be a rare side effect of the vaccine. There are one or two additional cases of GBS per million doses of flu vaccine administered according to the CDC.

The neurological disease has been linked to the flu, but many wonder if the flu vaccine’s role is being downplayed.

The family says that 2018 will be the last year they get the flu shot.

“Everybody just says it’s a coincidence. It’s not,” Monique said, adding that dozens of others reached out to her on Facebook to share similar stories. “It’s 100 percent a reality, a side effect of the flu shot…I’d rather have the flu 10-1.”

A GoFundMe page for the family’s medical expenses was recently at a little less than $1,000 short of its $10,000 goal.

GBS Settlements “Rarely Reported” in Pro-Pharma Media

While the CDC maintains that GBS cases are “very rare,” skeptics say it’s problem in need of further investigation and exposing.

“The data on the association between GBS and seasonal flu vaccination are variable and inconsistent across flu seasons,” the CDC says on its website.

But GBS is becoming a major health problem in the United States, with 80 to 160 cases reported each week, regardless of vaccination status.

A quick glance at the statistics from Health Impact News shows that GBS may be a bigger problem that the CDC is willing to admit.

Guillain-Barre Syndrome is the number one side effect of vaccine injury compensations due to flu shots according Health Impact News.

The site published statistics showing that 128 total cases were filed in vaccine court (of all diseases and conditions) over just a brief period, from November 16, 2013 to February 15, 2014.

Of those, 52 cases were compensated, and 40 judgments adopted settlements. Of those 40 settlements, 27 were for injuries due to the flu vaccine, with the vast majority of those for GBS (see the full statistics here).

The money awarded was given out through VAERS, a taxpayer-funded vaccine injury compensation system created as a result of a 1986 ruling that drug companies can’t be sued for the injuries caused by their vaccines.
