Of all the health products that have captured my fancy over the nearly ten years this website has been online, few have made an impact on me quite like coconut oil.
Organic coconut oil is one of the best superfoods on the market for many reasons.
For starters, it’s versatile, able to be used as a cooking oil, a supplement for improved energy levels and metabolism, a moisturizer, a base for haircare products and more.
Coconut oil’s health benefits are legendary. It contains the incredibly rare medium-chain fatty acids, which act as an alternate fuel source to glucose for the brain, showing promise for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s and similar mental health problems.
Recently, I had the opportunity to try coconut oil from the brand Dignity — and it might be my favorite coconut oil product yet.
Dignity Coconut Oil’s Mission
Dignity coconut oil is the brand I was given the opportunity to try thanks to a sample from the company.
Their commitment to indigenous communities that harvest the coconuts reminded me of another favorite company of mine from the past, Tropical Traditions.
More info is seen in the video below; long story short, they provide sustainable jobs to communities where unemployment rates are high, and they focus on quality, organic products.
The difference was something I immediately tasted in Dignity’s coconut oil product.
The quality of this organic coconut oil is something that I haven’t tried in a coconut oil in a long time.
It’s hard to fully explain, but it tastes more robust and more lively and fresh than other similar brands of coconut oil I’ve tried recently, even organic.
I also like how Dignity coconut oil comes in a large container making it easier to scoop out than most other brands I’ve purchased recently online or at the health food store.
-Not processed with hexane or other toxic industrial solvents
-Packed and shipped in a glass jar, and “autographed” by the person who packs it
This coconut oil also supports the creation of jobs, education, clean water, and direct trade “in order to fight modern-day slavery” in the Philippines where it’s produced, according to the Dignity website.
All things considered, this is my favorite new coconut oil on the market.
It tastes the way it should, espouses values that I believe in, and is as non-toxic and health-boosting as any other coconut oil on the market.
The company also sells lip balms, skin brushing kits and similar items online.
Certain products are also 20% off from now until December 16 for the holidays.
Special thanks to Dignity Coconuts for providing this sample to review! Be sure to check them out, folks!
