Product Review: A Unique Style of Beef, Chicken, Lamb and Turkey Jerky (with Veggies) From Wild Zora

Wild Zora product review.

When it comes to natural health products, there is one category of food that shows perhaps less innovation than any other: meat jerky.

Vegan substitutes like mushroom jerky have made waves in recent years while chicken, turkey and other varieties of jerky have also found their way into the limelight.

Recently I had the opportunity to check out a type of jerky style product that is made not just from meat but from whole food veggies that gives it an entirely different flavor and mouthfeel of other similar products.

The company that makes them is called Wild Zora and I wolfed down these products quite fast upon receiving them. Here are my honest impressions.

Wild Zora Product Flavors

Wild Zora has a wide range of products including instant soups, grain-free cereals (both hot and cold varieties), and the aforementioned beef jerky bars.

I had the opportunity to try turkey, pork, lamb and beef based varieties that each included a mix of vegetables, herbs and spices.

Mediterranean Lamb with Spinach, Rosemary and Turmeric-

This product includes 100% grass-fed, free-range and antibiotic-free lamb.

Included is a “wild” mix of flavors including apricots and dates along with the previously mentioned spices.

I really enjoyed this flavor. It was delicious to say the least. I quickly realized that there is a whole different level of nutrition involved when you get meat and veggies together in one bar as I ate these products and hit the trail for a morning hike.

Apple Pork with Kale, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

I wasn’t too eager to try this one because I don’t eat pork often and I haven’t always had the best experiences with pre-made/cooked pork products.

This one quickly exceeded my expectations.

The sweetness of the apple balances out the veggies and herbs. It tasted great and it is nightshade free with organic veggies and fruits including apples and unsulphured apricots.

Curry Turkey with Spinach, Dates and Cardamom

Free range turkey bars from Wild Zora.

I must admit I generally prefer chicken and beef snack bars and jerky to turkey.

Lately I have been enjoying turkey more because it tastes great whenever the right spices and flavors are involved.

This turkey bar from Wild Zora also exceeded my expectations.

It is made with free-range turkey which is a huge selling point for me considering that non free-range turkey is much more likely to have been given GMO feed by the people who raise it.

The spices and sweetness of dates make this a great product in my book.

Other Wild Zora Flavors

Italian Beef with Garlic and BBQ Beef are the other two flavors I tried.

For some reason I didn’t expect much from these flavors as I didn’t think that Tomato and Red Bell Pepper were a good for the regular and Italian Beef.

The flavors were perfectly balanced in both of these selections. I’m used to a more plain type of beef jerky flavor but Wild Zora really knew what they were doing with both of these flavors.

Final Thoughts on Wild Zora Products

There have been a lot of products that I have tried that tasted great and caught my fancy.

These ones from Wild Zora are certainly among them.

I loved everything I tried from Wild Zora which makes me feel curious about the soups and cold/hot cereals that this company sells.

If you’re looking for a great hiking snack or something to tide you ever until dinner time after work, check Wild Zora out ASAP.
