Popular 90s TV Star Has Harsh Words for Monsanto (with Video)

 

 

Television and movie stars receive their fair share of criticism for not speaking out on issues that matter, and oftentimes it’s justified.

But now that word is getting out about what Monsanto has really done, more and more of Hollywood’s most well known actors and actresses in recent years are weighing in.

In the video below, a star of one of the 90s’ most popular sitcoms tears into Monsanto, calling them out on how unhealthy their GMO food really in a new YouTube Video. 

“I Think They Are Extremely Dangerous” 

Fran Drescher, born in 1957 and the star of ‘The Nanny,’ which ran from 1993-1999, is about as outspoken as it gets in the five minute video clip below from the YouTube channel TeenTake.

She dishes on why Monsanto is an example of “capitalism run amok” and even relates the story of what she told her mother about buying corn at the farmer’s market to avoid GMOs (it’s not a foolproof solution but it is interesting to hear about). Check it out below:
