Product Review: A Multi-Vitamin Specifically Designed for People With IBD (Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis)

IBD assist

Over the course of my decade-plus as a health journalist and researcher, I have learned a tremendous amount about the power of targeted, specifically-formulated supplements for healing the body in a profound way from the inside-out.

I have spent countless thousands of dollars on supplements over this time period, interviewed and learned from holistic healers and herbalists, and discovered a routine that works incredibly well for myself, based on healing modalities like yoga, exercise, hiking/forest bathing, massage and lymphatic massage, the use of a biofeedback machine, and supplementation.

One thing I have learned is that it’s oftentimes not the correct course to simply take a multi-vitamin that supposedly contains every type of vitamin and mineral known to mankind.

Oftentimes, taking a supplement with the right ratios of nutrients to heal specific conditions is even more effective.

IBD Assist: A Targeted Multi-Vitamin for Sufferers of Digestive Disorders

Like most people, I’ve experienced several different unfortunate health related problems over the course of my life.

If I had to name one health problem that has negatively affected me the most, I would definitely say that digestive disorders have been number one on that list.

My first change to heal my digestive system was to take virtually all GMO foods out of my diet.

The best way to do this was by buying and eating almost exclusively organic foods.

This change immediately made me feel better while working out, doing yoga and playing basketball, helping me to get in the best shape of my life back in the early to mid-2000s.

The longer I went eating organic, the better I felt.

Eventually, emotional release work, massage, and targeted supplementation helped me to improve even better, to the point where my body lost its usual heaviness and I was able to feel like my truest self for the first time.

Since then, I haven’t been able to spend as much money on these concerns as I did previously, but I have had the opportunity to try impressive supplements like IBD Assist.

This vitamin, as well as its PM version for nighttime support, are the first I have tried specifically targeted for Crohn’s and Colitis, the two disease conditions classified under the Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBD) umbrella.

The first supplement, IBD Assist, contains an impressive array of nutrients to fight digestive conditions.

The first is ginger root, which helps to soothe the stomach and repair the gut lining. Turmeric, also included, helps to reduce and eliminate inflammation.

A massive dose of Vitamin B12 helps to heal the nervous system, while magnesium adds to the relaxation theme. Turkey tail mushroom, also included, helps to act as a source of prebiotic fiber to feed the “good” bacteria in your gut, allowing them to flourish.

Finally among standout ingredients, Boswellia, the active ingredient in Frankincense oil, is included, and it may help to eliminate diarrhea in those who use it while reducing or eliminating inflammation and improving joint health.

Overall, I enjoyed taking this supplement and really felt a pronounced difference in how relaxed I felt.

The second supplement, IBD Assist PM, also includes ginger root.

Designed for taking before bed, it includes melatonin, which helps to relax the user and induces sleep. Chamomile helps to relax inner components of the digestive system, while marshmallow root can help treat constipation, heartburn, and intestinal issues.

Research has also shown that marshmallow can treat gastric ulcers, helping to heal people with colitis over time while restoring the structural integrity of the digestive system.

Altogether, I enjoyed taking this supplement as well. It paired nicely with the daytime version and allowed me to get a deep, restful sleep.

As someone who still suffers from digestive problems on and off, I noticed a huge difference between when I was taking these supplements and when I wasn’t taking them.

I would definitely recommend IBD Assist and IBD Assist PM to anyone looking for an effective, affordable and highly targeted multi-vitamin to put their digestive problems to rest for good.

Special thanks to the IBD Assist team for letting me try these supplements.
