Product Review: 6 SuperFoods in the New JoyFuel SuperFood FuelPak

One of the coolest parts of running this website is the opportunity I get to review some of the latest and greatest natural health products, ranging from superfoods to supplements and everything in between.

A few years back I got the chance to try an exquisite cacao powder variety from Joyfuel, made from the rare Criollo bean.

It was one of the best cacao powders I’d ever tried and even spurred a partnership with the company to include a modified version of my Amazon Kindle book ‘Raw Chocolate Revolution,’ which is packed full of raw chocolate recipes.

Flash forward a few years and Joyfuel contacted me with news of what may be their most ambitious product yet — a box chock full of some of the best organic superfoods in the world, in this case Cacao, Maca, Spirulina, Matcha, Goji Berries and Chia seeds, all in one easy-to-use container called the ‘Joyfuel Superfood Pak.’

My impressions of the new Superfood Pak can be seen in the video below:

Overall, it’s a great product and a unique concept, considering that it’s so rare to find multiple superfoods in one easy-to-use package.

The Joyfuel Superfood Pak allows for simple and convenient smoothie-making and is high quality, considering that everything included is organic and you’re getting some of the most nutrient-dense superfoods out there.

That being said, the price of this product is also a bit high, so make sure you know what you’re getting before pulling the trigger (Editor’s note: you can get 20% off of the Joyfuel Superfood Pak by clicking on this Amazon link and then entering the code IN52CSL7 at checkout, exclusive to AltHealthWorks.com readers).

The products included are:

Cacao: Some people drink hot cacao as an alternative to coffee, because it’s more soothing and relaxing than directly energizing. It’s also rich in magnesium and super high in antioxidants.

Maca: From the mountains of Peru comes this amazing superfood, which is packed full of amino acids and helps to balance the hormones. When I do take maca I tend to take it for a month at a time before “cycling” off it because it is powerful stuff. If you haven’t tried it yet you definitely should give it a shot and see how your body reacts.

Goji Berries: As you can see in the video, I ate the whole thing before I had a chance to film this video. Goji berries are rich in trace minerals and antioxidants…Probably my favorite part of this whole pack.

Spirulina: Sometimes described as nature’s perfect food, spirulina is rich in protein and fuels much of life on this planet from the bottom of the food chain all the way up. This stuff will help oxygenate your blood and make you feel good when taken over time.

Matcha: A much more potent version of green tea, this goes well in any hot drink and provides tons of antioxidants.

Chia Seeds: Another one of my favorites, chia seeds are great pre-workout as they help the body to slowly absorb the water they take in, which they use to form into a gel. The seeds are also high in fiber and nutrients including trace minerals, as well as Omega-3’s as I discuss in the video.

Final Verdict:

While the price is a bit high (see Amazon.com for more info; as mentioned above you can mitigate that by entering the code IN52CSL7 at checkout and getting 20% off), the Superfood Fuel Pak from Joyfuel is a unique concept that makes smoothie making easier than ever before. It’s incredibly convenient and high quality as well.

The FuelPak also makes a great kitchen centerpiece (while it lasts, anyway) and a wonderful gift for people who view superfoods the same way they view boxed chocolates. In addition, it also comes with a free recipe book from my friend (and co-author on my aforementioned chocolate recipe book) Salome Torres.

If you’ve got the cash to spare this is a great product packed full of organic superfoods.

I’d like to see the next iteration for a cheaper price with maybe a little more than the 22 ounces worth of total product you get in the current one, but overall this is a really sharp looking and highly functional product, and at the end of the day, your health is priceless.

You can check out the Superfood FuelPak by clicking on this link. Don’t forget that discount code if you do decide to order (IN52CSL7).
