Health Coach Shares Inspiring 75-Pound Weight Loss Journey After Years of Feeling ‘Unmotivated and Lazy’

A health coach shared her inspiring weight loss journey from 246 to 149.

Losing weight and keeping it off is a tremendously difficult challenge for millions of people.

Oftentimes it comes with mental, emotional, and physical challenges alike and it feels like taking two steps forward and two steps backward for those who have a hard time keeping the weight off for long periods of time.

In 2020 a woman named Kerry Kitzhoffer shared her story of losing more than 75 pounds on her journey to improved physical fitness.

For Kitzhoffer, her weight gain began after losing a relationship, which led her down a path of healing toward freedom from being overweight.

Taking the Elevator Instead of the Stairs

Kitzhoffer realized that taking the elevator instead of the stairs often was just one symptom of her weight gain and unhealthy lifestyle. She said she felt ‘unmotivated and lazy’ before taking radical, intentional and consistent action to restore her health and lose nearly 100 pounds for her efforts.

“How much time do I have left if I continue on like this?” Kerry said about her breaking point before changing her daily health routine in an interview with Access Hollywood.

Kerry forged a relationship with a fitness coach who went through many of the same struggles that she did, having grown to 300 pounds at one point in time. Kerry is now a fitness trainer and maintains a Pinterest account with food and drink recipes, “life hacks,”  pictures of her favorite places to visit and more.
