Product Review: Delicious, Gourmet, Non-GMO Popcorn With a Charitable Mission From Prospector

Prospector Gourmet Popcorn

Popcorn is one of the most popular snacks on the market, and oftentimes one of the most delicious snacks as well.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out some popcorn snacks from a unique company called Prospector Popcorn, which makes gourmet popcorn blends with interesting flavors like Buffalo Cheddar, Belgian Chocolate Toffee, and Chocolate Strawberry.

My first impression upon receiving the samples is that this popcorn looked incredibly delicious.

It reminded me of a popcorn shop in Chicago I had always wanted to visit, and it was tough to resist tearing open the box and the bag to see what was inside.

I noticed on the Prospector website that this company works to support The Prospector Theater, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to “competitive and integrated employment for people with disabilities” at a first-run movie theater in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

The first variety I tried was the Buffalo Cheddar.

This particular flavor tasted pretty incredible right off the bat.

I hadn’t had a snack like this in a long time, and it really hit the spot.

There were a few ingredients I was not a big fan of, however, like corn syrup, maltodextrin, and yellow 5&6.

The company says on its website that it uses non-GMO popcorn kernels, which is a huge plus, but I would like to see other ingredients used become Non-GMO Project Verified or organic in the future.

The next variety I tried was the Chocolate Strawberry.

This flavor was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. It was easily the best gourmet popcorn I can remember eating in quite some time, and I could see someone really enjoying it as a gift, along with the Buffalo Cheddar.

Lastly, I tried the Belgian Chocolate Toffee.

This was probably the most delicious variety of popcorn I had in the entire batch, and that’s saying something.

The crunchy, salty pretzels paired well with the chocolate drizzle included in this popcorn mix.

Final Thoughts on Prospector Gourmet Popcorn

Overall, these products were delicious.

I appreciate that they use non-GMO popcorn, and they have a great charitable mission behind them.

That being said, this is a health website, so we have to say that anyone buying or eating these products should exercise caution not to consume them too much, especially since they have sugar and are not organic.

That being said, if you’re looking for something incredibly delicious, this popcorn is healthier than most of what you’ll find on grocery store shelves, and tastes great too.

Special thanks to Prospector for letting me try these delicious flavors!
