RFK Jr. Joins Dr. Phil McGraw For Wide Ranging Discussion on First 100 Days in Office

Dr. Phil and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was named as the Head of Health and Human Services of the United States on February 13th, 2025, adding his name to a long list of public health servants, some more controversial than others.

Kennedy, Jr. is known as a hero among people who have become highly skeptical of the pharmaceutical, food and vaccine industries in recent years as well as environmental advocates. A longtime environmental attorney, Kennedy Jr. has made sweeping changes since entering the office, including his decision to ban food dyes linked to hyperactivity and cancer in children.

On Tuesday, April 29, Kennedy Jr. was given the spotlight treatment by Dr. Phil McGraw, known for his famous talk show Dr. Phil, as he touched on a wide variety of topics including his career as an attorney, what drew him to share his thoughts, skepticisms and criticisms of the food and vaccine industries, and other hot topics.

“Tonight I am sitting down with a man who refuses to be silenced,” Dr. Phil said to raucous studio audience.

“Listen, this man has walked through fire, personally, politically, professionally…”

The interview spanned an hour and 20 minutes during which Kennedy Jr. was given the opportunity to speak on topics at length for the first time since taking the mantle of being in charge of public health.

Kennedy Jr. Speaks His Peace

Kennedy Jr. thanked McGraw for his support during the MAHA (Make America Health Again) movement saying he has been one of the most supportive members of the media in regards to his campaign.

McGraw told his audience that Kennedy Jr.’s crusades in the name of changing controversial public health policies are not political in nature but come from a place deep inside of him based on wanting to help people.

Kennedy Jr. spoke about the Water Keepers, an organization of committed international members who patrol public bodies of water for the purpose of stopping polluters at the source.

He also spoke on thimerosal in vaccines which he says were taken out of some but remain in the flu vaccine and pose a danger to public health.

The concern remains among children in 2025, Kennedy Jr. said.

“A kid today could get twice as much thimerosal as in 2003,” he continued. “It’s a neurotoxin, a very potent neurotoxin, it’s associated with all kinds of neurological and autoimmune illnesses in kids,” he added.

Kennedy Jr. said he wrote an article about thimerosal in vaccines that “really changed the course of my life, it wasn’t something that I chose to do” adding that he “lost friends…a lot of family members…a lot of allies in the environmental movement,” and political allies because of his decision to write about toxins in vaccines.

“This was literally the worst career choice that I made,” Kennedy Jr. added, echoing the thoughts of many people in the holistic health movement who have felt attacked, discredited, bothered, silenced, censored and outcast because of their research and views on the subject.

The full interview can be viewed below, during which Kennedy Jr. and McGraw branch out into the epidemics of chronic disease in America and other key topics.

“We’re literally the sickest people in the world…We have the highest chronic disease burden of any country in the world,” Kennedy Jr. continued.
