Farming Expert Joel Salatin Calls Out Bill Gates, Tells Him What’s “Really Destroying The Planet”

Joel Salatin is the person who runs Polyface Farms.

Joel Salatin is a regenerative farming expert who rose to fame with his appearance in the popular Robert Kenner documentary movie ‘Food, Inc.,’ which was released in June 2009 and educated millions of people worldwide on topics including the toll non-organic farming takes on the health of planet and people.

Salatin is known for his outspoken views on farming and the food system, as well as his backing of organic and regenerative agriculture based on time-honored traditions.

Recently, Salatin got tired of hearing about Bill Gates and Gates’ lab grown meat and other non-organic, fake food “products” in the mainstream media and on social media.

He called out Gates in a video on his YouTube channel before inviting him to visit his farm in Swoope, Virginia for a lesson on organic and regenerative agriculture.

Salatin Calls Out Gates Over ‘Cow Burps and Farts’

Are cow burps and farts really hurting the climate as bad as pro-fake meat interests and global warming alarmists say they are?

That depends on who you ask.

A growing movement of regenerative farming experts and advocates on social media have been sounding the alarm lately about what they say is the demonization of cows eating their natural diet of grass and grazing out on pasture.

Their viewpoints are in line with a 2013 United Nations report titled ‘Wake Up Before It’s Too Late,’ which called for a shift to regenerative agriculture for the purposes of conserving the environment and climate in addition to agricultural and small-scale economic systems.

Farmers like Salatin say that an unnecessary and irrational fear of the natural, regenerative animal grazing and human farming process is being used to create a market for lab grown meat, genetically modified lab spliced crops and other products that barely qualify as food, let alone healthy food.

Salatin challenged Gates to tell him his thoughts on the environment and regenerative animal based agriculture in person, instead of through media mouthpieces as per usual.

What’s Really Destroying The Planet — According To Joel Salatin

“Who out there knows Bill Gates?” Salatin asks in the video below. “Let me bring him out to this field and tell me that these beautiful four-wheel drive, four-legged sauerkraut vat pruners are destroying the planet.

“Folks, did you know that Bill Gates has just raised $24 million of venture capital to try to invent a vaccine to eliminate cow burps and farts?”

“Folks, it ain’t cow burps and farts that are destroying the planet. It’s people like Bill Gates that are destroying the planet.”

Salatin’s Polyface Farm is a 550-acre (220-hectare) operation whose farmhouse was first built in 1750 and was added onto throughout the years. It was purchased by the Salatin family in 1961.

Joel Salatin’s experience a newspaper writer allows him to bravely and concisely articulate his thoughts on environmental and human health issues unlike most other farmers.

Salatin believes that cows are the answer to the Earth’s problems, not the cause of them.

“It’s people like Bill Gates that are destroying the planet,” Salatin said.

“So what we’ve got to do is return these beautiful creatures to their God-given, instinctual service to humanity,” Salatin added, noting that the world had many more animals than it did prior to the advent of industrial, chemical intensive agriculture and the climate did just fine:
