Five Ways To Improve Bathroom Hygiene (That Most People Haven’t Thought About)

The bidet is a highly underrated bathroom item that few people have heard about before.

One of the best ways to get and stay healthy is to take care of your personal hygiene in the bathroom.

This could mean everything from plucking nose and eyebrow hairs to shaving to dental health to personal health.

The goal is to start your day off right with healthy habits that leave you feeling good, smelling good, and protected from germs, bacteria, and other harmful invaders that may reside within your bathroom.

By practicing these habits each day, you’ll come out smelling like a rose each morning, or, failing that, you will at least come out smelling and feeling minty fresh.

1. Toilet Coverage-

Bathrooms typically contain a toilet right next to or at least somewhat near a shower.

This may cause trouble because unhealthy bacteria sprays out from inside the toilet and may land in places where it can multiply or be inhaled by human and even animal lungs.

The simplest way to prevent you bathroom tiles, countertops, and personal care items like toothbrushes and towels from getting dirty is to shut the toilet lid immediately after flushing.

Try a 12-pack of bamboo toothbrushes

2. Install a Bidet-

A bidet is a plumbing fixture that is typically separate from a bathroom toilet.

It provides continuous running water to help wash private parts off without needing to wipe them off with toilet paper.

Bidets typically cost between $500.00 and $150.00, with an installation cost of up to $220.00.

They are said to improve lower body hygiene, reduce the spread of germs, and reduce the risk of hemhorrhoids.

The bidet is incredibly popular in Europe and Asian and is even mandated in some areas of Europe. In Japan, up to 77% of residents use a bidet daily.

3. Spray an Essential Oil Mixture-

Chemical disinfecting sprays like Lysol are popular and even common across much of the United States of America.

These sprays kill bacteria in the area and on surface areas but have been linked to acute skin irritation, redness, cough, shortness of breath, nervous system problems and even DNA damage, according to the Environmental Working Group.

Try adding essential oils to a water bottle instead. The smell is incredible and the disinfecting powers of different essential oils like Frankincense and Myrrh are incredible.

Citrus essential oils like orange and grapefruit, along with minty oils like spearmint and peppermint, are among the best essential oils for disinfecting bathrooms and other germ-infected areas.

4. Remove the Chemicals-

Toxic ‘forever chemicals’ have been found in toilet paper recently and other potentially harmful chemicals like fluoride are also found in the toothpaste tubes of most bathrooms.

Chemical toilet bowl cleaners, soaps, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, and other personal care products add to the ‘chemical load’ most people absorb shortly after going through their daily bathroom hygiene routine.

The best way to improve your health both in the long and short term is to remove toxic chemicals from your bathroom. Even teeth whitening kits may expose your mouth to high amounts of cumulative poisons, which is why I recommend this LED light powered teeth whitening kit.

It’s made from a great company called Primal Life Organics (big anniversary sale happening now, get 25% off today only – Here).

5. Clean Out Mold-

Mold is one of the most toxic substances you could ever allow in your bathroom. It collects on the outer parts of bathroom tiles and can be inhaled in a such a way that you may not even realize it’s getting into sensitive parts of your body like the lungs.

One of the best natural ways to cleanse mold from your shower tiles and bathroom floor is to use Thieves oil. This popular home remedy contains a synergistic blend of essential oils for cleaning mold out of your bathroom.

*Special consideration- Mold and similar organisms are among the most difficult to cleanse from the human body once they have entered it.

It is recommended to consult with a naturopathic doctor to find the right mold detoxification items for you.

I personally recommend this 40-Day Harmful Organism Cleanse Program from Dr. Edward Group of the Global Healing Center. Dr. Group is one of the most respected and successful naturopathic doctors in the United States and his cleansing program is the real deal.
