The Christmas and Winter Holiday season is the perfect opportunity to loosen up your dietary restrictions a bit and eat for pleasure rather than just nutrition.
Many of the world’s healthiest people engage in “cheat days” as they enjoy their favorite foods ranging from desserts to fast food and holiday goodies.

Dr. Schar’s Panettone (Italian Fruitcake with Sweetbread)
Growing up as a kid I always remember television programs knocking fruitcakes, making me avoid them throughout my childhood years.
Panettone is, simply put, not your average fruitcake. This one from Schar is made from Italian style sweetbread with raisins and it tastes absolutely divine.
It comes in the colorful package shown above and tastes like it was fresh baked. I devoured this cake in one sitting and really enjoyed it.

Dr. Schar’s Speculoos Gluten Free Cookies
If you’re looking for something similar to Lotus Biscoff cookies then you can’t go wrong with this gluten-free, non-GMO alternative.
These cookies taste amazing and are hard to stop eating. Crunchy and delicious, they would go well in any homemade dessert recipe and taste amazing when eaten directly.

Final Thoughts on Schar Gluten Free Products
I have been eating products from Dr. Schar’s on and off for the past year as a delectable gluten-free and non-GMO treat every now and then.
They are not organic but otherwise they check every box in what I look for in a dessert.
These products are amazing and their selection of products has been growing.
Lady fingers for Tiramisu or snacking are another favorite of mine, along with Dr. Schar’s assortment of cakes and cookies.
