Three Nutrients That Work Synergistically With Vitamin C to Improve Your Health at the Cellular Level

Acerola cherry, amla berry and Camu Camu are three of the best Vitamin C supplements and fruits

Vitamin C is one of the most incredible nutrients that is often taken for granted because of how prevalent it is in foods on supermarket shelves.

This vitamin is added in its synthetic form (often from GMO corn; more info here). The synthetic form is not absorbed nearly as well as organic forms including Camu Camu, Acerola cherry and Amla berry.

Vitamin C is best consumed in whole food based foods or supplements (these are the top eight sources).

The aforementioned vitamin is also classified as an antioxidant that protects people from the harmful effects of free radical damage.

It helps maintain the health of skin, blood vessels, cartilage and bones.

There are three ways to improve Vitamin C utilization in the body that few people know about, the discussion of the next section of this article.

Vitamin C Plus Iron Benefits

According to Dietitian Victoria Peck-Gray, taking Vitamin C with an iron supplement or iron-rich foods leads to several benefits.

Vitamin C helps to enhance the absorption of non-heme iron, an essential mineral for preventing anemia and enhancing strength and blood health.

Peck-Gray recommends consuming Vitamin C with your meals, and states that the bisglycinate form of iron is the best to consume in supplement form (try it here).

Vitamin C Plus Zinc Benefits

Zinc is one of the most important minerals for men to take and it is also essential for women’s health.

A Zinc-deficient person could end up with thinning hair, immune system dysfunction and metabolism related disorders.

A combination of Zinc and Vitamin C will bolster the health of your gut lining, allowing for decreased intestinal permeability and better nutrient absorption.

Vitamin C Plus Vitamin E Benefits

Some of the top food sources of Vitamin E in include pumpkins, red bell peppers, peanuts and almonds.

Both vitamins are antioxidants that work synergistically with each other to enhance health. Taken together, they help to “recycle” Vitamin E levels in the body for improved skin health, improved brain health, improved skin health and improved blood health.

These two vitamins can also help to enhance fertility in both men and women, promoting healthy sperm and egg production while building up the health of the uterine’ lining in women.

Finally, this duo has been spotlighted for its ability to recharge the body’s stores of glutathione.

Glutathione is known as the “master antioxidant,” and is found in foods and drinks ranging from coffee to dark, leafy greens, grass fed beef and wild-caught fish.

Final Thoughts on Vitamin C Benefits

Vitamin C is the first major nutrient I learned a lot about in the early going of my health research studies.

It has been demonstrated to assist the healing of patients with potentially deadly diseases at the Hippocrates Institute in Florida, a raw food healing center where patients are given high doses of Vitamin C throughout their days at the Institute.

When I personally started taking high doses of Vitamin C each day, my health improved in more different ways than I could possibly explain in a single article.

If you haven’t begun eating more foods that are rich in Vitamin C lately, I recommend doing so now (be sure to consult your doctor if you have any questions).

Thanks so much for reading and I hope this information will be beneficial for you on your healing journey.

Sincerely,
